Realiazing the Net-Zero target in the ASEAN region by fast deployment of VRE and smarter grid technologies.
As the largest economy in Southeast Asia with a young population of nearly 280 million , Indonesia is facing an energy trilemma to realize its Net-Zero goal while ensuring energy security. With the new administration's goal to retire all coal power plants - the main power supply of this country, in the coming 15 years, VREs are going to see a significant investment.
Thanks to the rapid technological advances in solar pv, wind energy, battery energy storage and nuclear power technologies, energy transition is forging ahead globally on a fast track. As a fossil fuel heavily reliant nation, how will the future of energy look evolve and what are the key characteristcs? How do we approach the energy transition challenges? Will Indonesia become a powerhouse of renewable energy in the coming decades? What are the challenges and hurdles we are facing now?
To better understand the situation and cope with those challenges, we are pleased to announce that the Indonesia Future Energy and Grid Summit 2025 is going to take place on 18 - 19 June in Jakarta, Indonesia.
